I just received a call from Rick Ogle"s wife Renne informing me that Rick lost his battle with cancer early this morning. She said he got sick around 3 months ago but by the time the cancer was found it had spread from his kidney and could not be stopped. She went on to say that they are having a small service at the hospice in there home town. I will forward any additional information as I receive it.

Renne asks us all to help pass this tragic information to Rick"s many friends around the world.

Dear Jimmy,

Captain Rick Ogle has left us to fish better waters... after a sudden and brief fight with cancer he passed away at 8:30 am this morning. For those of us who fished with Rick, myself twice aboard Rapscallion and Mr. B II, it was a pleasure fishing with someone who was so confident he would find the fish. And find them he did... on my last fishing stint on the North Drop with Rick we caught 20 blues in 8 days and took second place in the Boy scouts tournament in between. We will all miss his great spirit and his funny remarks, and of course we will especially miss his hilarious laugh. May he rest in peace in the land of the granders. We'll miss you old buddy, God bless.
