WET & WILD RULES (subject to change)
IGFA Angling Rules with the following additions:
01. IGFA 30lb. or 50lb. line. No backing allowed on reel unless the spool is taped off. 02.
Circle hooks only in natural baits. 03. Fishing Territory - North or South Drop, US waters only. 04. Fishing Hours - 8:00 a.m. - 5 p.m. both days. Boats that do not have a fish on at 5 p.m. must be at the weigh station by 6:15 p.m. on both days. 05. Billfish must be on the hook (rod bent), swivel touching tip for 1 minute before a release may be declared. 06. Live baiting is permissible for all species. 07. Minimum weight wahoo 20 lbs. Minimum Weight Yellowfin 20 lbs. 08. Catch forms must be signed by all registered anglers and crew members. 09. Protest must be immediately filed with Judges upon return to the dock.
POINT SYSTEM: Teams with most points wins. 1st - 2nd - 3rd places to be awarded. Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Spearfish or Sailfish released on 50lb test = 400 points. Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Spearfish or Sailfish releases on 30lb test = 500 points. World Record fish receive points for their actual weight. Billfish that are boated must qualify for current IGFA record or all points for catch are lost. Wahoo and Yellowfin Tuna points system: Weight of fish x 100 divided by line test. Ties are broken by time of last catch.
