NEW FOR ANGLERS IN THE BAHAMAS AND BERMUDA!
EXCITING HEAVY HITTERS DIVISION!!
Entry fee: $1500 per boat. 2 day tournament: Bahamas: May 13, 14 - Bermuda: June 29, 30. Many of our fishing friends in the Bahamas and Bermuda have said they would like to support our efforts to raise money for the Boy Scouts - but they don't want to enter a "go light to win" tournament format because it changes the way they like to fish. This was especially heard from those in pursuit of their career goal of catching a "Grander" blue marlin. We listen and we've created an old fashion "Boat Tournament" for the sluggers. Put your money up... and go after the big ones! The Hitter's Pot will be split 50/30/20. IGFA basic rules, 1-4 anglers and no limits on line test or fight time. Observers will be supplied to verify the releases. Most blue marlin wins. If you decide to boat a fish for personal best reasons and it doesn't weigh a minimum of 1000 lbs. you will not receive points for that particular catch. The pot amount will be decided by the contestants at the Kick Off Party. Min. suggested Hitter's pot amount is $5000* per boat. Yes, you may enter into both divisions!
BSA receives 10% share of the Hitters Pot.

Tournament Director's note to all anglers and crews: We ask for your support of the individual "Open" legs of the
Bermuda Triangle Series (BTS) and the Spanish Main Series (SMS). Even if you can't fish the entire series, please join us for one or two of the legs. The legs are "Open" to all boats in the area and by participating you will be helping us reach our long term goal of creating the World Series of Big Game Fishing (WSBGF). To get the WSBGF off the ground and have an annual "fish off" between globally positioned teams - there must be at least 4 regional series established around the world with anglers fishing by the same rules. Over the next two years we will be developing 2 more series - the Pacific Rim Series (3 legs along coast of Central America) and the Southern Cross Series (3 legs spanning the Pacific). Then in the fall of 2012 the regional winners will meet up and go at it on the Great Barrier Reef - the winning team being declared the World Champions! Time has come to advance the sport of Big Game Fishing and together we can do it!!
